Is Quality a result of chance or choice?
When I typed the word “quality” in Google, around 18 Million+ search results were ready for me to get obliged.
It was my CHOICE to say NO to them and create some quality of my own.
Yes, quality needs focused and conscious effort, continuous attempt to be the REALITY. It cannot be achieved merely by chance.
There are plenty of Quality management techniques invented till date which proves that quality has to be chosen proactively.
Now let’s make a truth table having four different cases for detailed analysis.
1. Quality = NO Chance & NO Choice
This is simplest among all. Quality cannot exist in this scenario. Quality needs either one of them for being into realization.
2. Quality = Only Chance & NO Choice
If I say that Quality results you produced are only by chance then… I know you will not spare me.
Quality cannot be left unattended unless you are damn sure that whatever output you give, will be 100%. Again, due to fierce competition, definition of quality is becoming more and more stringent day by day. So it cannot be left at God’s grace.
There are no shortcuts to success!
3. Quality = Only Choice & NO Chance
This is the scene majorly observed in all professional organizations, including Government too.
All major companied have either adapted or invented their own quality assurance programs.
You might be LOVED if you take chance in quality, but if you chose it you will be TRUSTED, which is greater complement.
4. Quality =BOTH Chance AND Choice
Now if we treat Marks in exam as Quality, here both Choice and Chance are required.
Choice of the person whom you want to copy and Chance to do it!
Jokes apart, I think this is the most conducive situation for Quality to flourish.
Imagine a singer with god Gifted mellifluous voice that creates divine melodies with his continuous Riyaz and gives all listeners a heavenly experience of music.

CATWISE
It was raining CATS & DOGS in Mumbai day before yesterday!
Fellow Toastmasters, Good Afternoon to you all!
We hear this phrase quite often in monsoon, places may be different, but have we thought what does it mean?
Dog is supposed to be attendant of King Odin who is lord of Wind and Cats symbolizes heavy down pour.
A rain with heavy wind is what this phrase wants to say!
[Pause] Well, Cats are around all of us in one form or other….
On roads, in thoughts, in actions, sometimes in attitude also …crazy people call it CATTITUDE.
Being with cats is rejuvenating experience..
People who own pets live longer, have less stress, and have fewer heart attacks
but As every cat owner knows, nobody own a cat ! 32% of those who own their own home, also own at least one cat.
You know, cats can see 120 feet away that too in dark !
Don’t you think this fact gives new vision to look at DARK…. , may be future..
In cat’s eyes , everything belongs to cats..
Generally dogs are symbolized as Loyalty IKONS. Dogs come when they are called:
But cats take a message and gets back to you later.. Again a message…
They do the things at their leisure and wish…Cats lie on the floor in such a way that it interrupts maximum human traffic. That’s why in French they say Let sleeping cats lie ..in Hindu mythology Gods have different species as their WAHANS [ official carriers]..Our most beloved Lord Ganesh has mouse as his Wahan to whom cat makes a prey ..Surprisingly no deity has chosen cat ..
In the limited span of life cats are capable to produce more than 100 Kitten.
Cats are known for their very flexible nature, at one time they will enjoy the life when it is easy life, on the other hand when it is hard to even survive, cats fight in belligerent manner. No one will believe it is the same cat who used enjoy delicious cat food in home, now came on road for hunt.
As a belief cats are blessed with 9 lives , this shows their tremendous fighting ability and fertility
We have heard many words phrases, idioms, proverbs related to cats
Like ,Be Cat got your tongue, Enough to make cat Laugh, who will bell cat, FAT CAT, TOMCAT,CATWALK
COOLCAT, HEPCAT, and many more…
Still we never realize presence of cat around
One last thing …
Do you know , when cat is thrown in air, off course not too high, it balances itself in such a way that it lands on its’ feet without falling or loosing balance…
I believe, this is the biggest lesson we can learn from cats , never say die attitude.
As one cat lover says, World is ruled by cats..
